Belconnen Artists’ Network is a group of 25 experienced artists from the Belconnen region who meet every month and exhibit together every six months. They are a well established group, over ten years old, which encourages a wide variety of arts including; sculpture, textiles, drawing, watercolour, oils, mixed media and photography. Some of the artists independently exhibit regularly and have hosted solos in Canberra, Sydney and beyond. They usually exhibit in Belconnen but have ventured into Gungahlin, Woden and now they are crossing the border to exhibit in Queanbeyan! The artists have created thoughtful, quirky and amusing art especially for this beautiful gallery, at The Q (Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre). The quality and variety of work is astounding.
A plethora of professional paintings and photos portraying perception and perplexity, pleasure and passion, pomegranates and pears, pets and parrots, peel and preparation.
