The Russian National Ballet Theatre will bring audience into an antiquity tradition of tragic romances story. ‘For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo’   William Shakespeare

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy about two young star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. This dramatic ballet stays loyal to Shakespeare’s original tragic ending. The romantic pas de deux, taut fight scenes and the festive street dances will leave you awe-inspired.

The theatre was founded with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The basis for the creation of the theatre was a necessity for promising young theatre with high creative potential, both classical and contemporary.

Today, the Russian National Ballet Theatre is on a creative upswing. Among the new productions are ballets of the classical repertory: ‘Swan Lake’, ‘Nutcracker’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Don Quixote’, ‘Giselle’, ‘Romeo and Juliet’, a gala concert, as well as contemporary ballets composed by Mozart, Bach, Ravel and other composers.
