Queanbeyan Art Society – Centenary of Anzac Art Exhibition
‘The Art of Lest We Forget’ – November 4-14 at The Q – Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre
A range of WW1 themed artworks from members of the Queanbeyan Art Society will be opening at The Q – Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday 3rd November. The exhibition contains work from regional artists imaging their thoughts and feelings of WW1 in this Centenary of WW1 time. The exhibition will judged by Margaret Hadfield, winner of the inaugural Gallipoli Prize and local well-known artist and teacher with Cr Tim Overall Queanbeyan Mayor opening the exhibition.
The exhibition will also focus on the stories of Queanbeyan’s WW1 enlisted with photos, records and letters. WW1 items from Queanbeyan will be on show, courtesy of the Queanbeyan Museum.
