The Art Trail 2016
The Art Trail is a much anticipated annual arts event which allows visitors to take a self-guided tour around Queanbeyan-Palerang’s many art studios and galleries. The Art Trail now in its 10th year has now expanded to include to include not only studios in Queanbeyan but also Braidwood. Meet the artists, tour the studios, watch demonstrations and add to your private collection with original artwork available for sale.
In addition this year keen art lovers can also take advantage of visiting and viewing the entries for the third annual Clearwater Sculpture Prize being held on the banks of the Queanbeyan River during the Queanbeyan River Festival on 28-30 October.
Get involved – Take a bus
The ever popular Art Trail Bus Tour is another way to enjoy the trail. Lucky ticket holders will travel the Art Trail in chauffeured comfort enjoying light refreshments and a picnic lunch. For just $30 per person, it really is amazing value and a lot of fun! This year because of the trail expansion two buses will be running one focusing on Queanbeyan and another tackling the cultural hub of Braidwood. Select your destination and get ready to soak up all the areas have to offer.

Self Guided Tour
Like to take things a little slower, pick your own route or select the perfect place to stop for a cuppa? Then maybe the self guided tour is for you. This year as part of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council commitment to the support, development and promotion of the arts in the region we have interactive self guided maps, a fully printed programs and more information via our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/events/1077933625621277/) to help you get to know your artists before setting out on the trail.
Stay tuned for links to online maps, and details of when printed programs can be collected from your local library, Council customer office, Braidwood Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) and Queanbeyan Art Gallery. There will also be a chance to download from our website. Excuse the pun but we are also finished painting the picture of a great day out and more information is coming soon!

If you missed seeing something highlighted on the Art Trail 2016 be sure contact the artist directly most are very friendly to see about adding to your collection or organising a visit.

Time: Most locations are open 10am-4pm but please see program as some variations occur.
Cost: Entry is FREE and some locations offer tea and coffee for a gold coin donation.
