The Sound of Music

Sound of Music

Queanbeyan Players Presents:
One of the best-loved musicals of all time, The Sound of Music tells of how Maria Rainer comes to look after the children of Baron von Trapp, brining music and laughter back into a family which has been lacking both since the death of the children’s mother. Set against the dark days of the emergence of Nazi Germany, this is a story of optimism and hope that resonates no matter what the time or period. Songs include Do-Re-Mi, My Favourite Things, Climb Every Mountain and many more.

Director:  Janetta McRae
Musical Director: Jennifer Groom
Choreographer:  Christina Philipp

Music by Richard Rodgers, Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, Book by Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse. Suggested by “The Story of the Trapp Family Singers”.
